​Tamarind Chutney Recipe
Ingredients

​

Tamarind(Puli) - 5 lemon sized balls
Jaggery(Sharkkara) - 2 tsp or as desired
Chilly powder - As reqd
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
Salt - As reqd

Method :

​

1)Soak tamarind in warm water for 30 minutes.

2)Squeeze out all the tamarind juice.

3)Take this juice in a sauce pan and heat it on a medium flame by adding water. It should get the consisitency of a sauce.

4)Keep stirring and bring it to boil.

5)Add jaggery, salt and chilly powder.

6)Heat for few more minutes.

7)When it becomes thick, turn off heat.

8)Heat little oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. Wait till good smell comes.

9)Pour it on top of the prepared chutney.
