Pommersche Götterspeise (Cranberry Pudding)
Ingredients :

1/2 cup cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 slices pumpernickel or rye bread, crumbled
2/3 cup whole cranberry sauce, to which
1/4 teaspoon orange zest has been added

Method :

Whip the cream, gently adding the sugar and vanilla. Make alternate layers of bread crumbs, cranberry sauce, and whipped cream in four dessert dishes. Chill thoroughly for at least two hours. Garnish with chopped nuts.

Makes 4 servings.
