Pav Bhaaji Masala Recipe
Ingredients

Potatoes - 2 nos
Peas - 1/2 cup
Carrots - 2 nos
Cauliflower(chopped) - 1 cup
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Onions - 2 nos
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Salt - As reqd
Sugar - 1 tsp
Pav bhaji masala powder or use any other masala powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Ghee - 2 tsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Bun - As reqd

For grinding:

Ginger /garlic paste - 1 tsp
Garlic pods - 4 nos
Green chillies - 3 nos

Preparation Method

​

1)Cut all the vegetables into small pieces and pressure cook them.

2)Peel and mash the cooked potatoes.

3)Heat oil and ghee in a pan and season with cumin seeds.

4)Add onions and fry till they become translucent.

5)Add ground masala and fry.

6)When the oil separates, add finely chopped tomatoes and fry till it is mashed.

7)Add mashed potatoes and other cooked vegetables, chilly powder, coriander powder, salt , sugar and masala powder.

8)Pour enough water to make it a thick gravy. Try to mash vegetables while it is boiling.

9)Garnish with coriander leaves and finely cut onions.

10)Cut bun horizontally into half or dinner rolls can be used as pav.

11)Apply little ghee/butter from the inside.

12)Stuff masala inside and microwave for 30 seconds and serve with little more masala on its side.
