Kurikinton Recipe
Ingredients :

* 2 large yam or Japanese sweet potatos (satsuma-imo) - 1 pound
* 1 jar of sweetened chestnuts
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1 tbsp mirin

Method :

Peel the sweet potatos and cut into small cubes. Soak the sweet potato cubes in water for a couple hours. Rinse the potato cubes well. Put water in a deep pan and bring to a boil. Add sweet potato cubes in the pan and cook until softened. Drain the water and put the sweet potato cubes back in the pan. Mash the potatoes and add sugar and mirin. Put the pan on low heat and stir well. Mix the chestnuts in the pan. Cool it before serving.
