Hyderabadi Jeera Rice
Ingredients

* 1 1/2 cups basmati rice
* 2 tbsp ghee or butter
* 1 tbsp cumin seeds
* 2 pieces each of cinnamon, cloves and cardamom
* 1/4 cup cashewnuts, break into pieces
* 1/4 cup onion paste
* 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
* 1/2 tsp ajinomoto
* Salt to taste

Method :

Heat ghee in a pan, add the cashewnuts and fry till light brown. Remove and keep aside. Now add the cumin seeds and spices to the ghee. Fry for half a minute and then add the onion paste and ginger-garlic paste and fry for another 2 minutes. Add the rice, salt and 3 cups of water. Cook till the rice is done. Garnish with roasted cashewnuts and serve hot.
