Ginger Thambli Recipe
Ingredients

Ginger - 1" piece
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Buttermilk(Moru) - 3/4 cup
Salt - As reqd

For seasoning:

Coconut Oil - 2 tsp
Red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2 nos
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida(Kayam) - A pinch

​

Method :

​

1)Grind grated coconut, ginger and salt together by adding water.

2)Mix buttermilk to it.

3)Heat coconut oil in a pan.

4)Add mustard seeds and when it splutters, add red chillies and a pinch of asafoetida.

5)Pour this on the above mixture.

:- It can also be done in the same way by using Mavina Shunthi usually available in Karnataka.
