Cauliflower Masala Recipe
Ingredients

​

Cauliflower - 1 no
Onions - 2 nos
Tomatoes - 3 nos
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Salt - As reqd
Sugar - A little
Coriander leaves for garnishing

For grinding:

Grated coconut - 4 tbsp

For seasoning:

​

Oil - 3 tbp
Cloves(Grambu) - 2 nos
Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1" piece
Cardamom(Elakka) - 1 no
Aniseeds(Perinjeerakam) - 1/2 tsp

Preparation Method

​

1)Cut onions, tomatoes and cauliflower.

2)Soak cauliflower in salted water for 15 minutes.

3)Heat oil in a pan.

4)Season with all the ingredients.

5)Add onions and fry till golden brown.

6)Add tomatoes and keep frying.

7)Add all the cauliflower pieces and fry till it becomes soft.

8)Add ground coconut paste, turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and little sugar.

9)Add enough water and cover the pan.

10)Cook till cauliflower becomes soft and gravy thickens.

11)Garnish with coriander leaves.

:- Serve hot with chapathis or pooris.
