Cabbage Soup
Ingredients :

1 kg cabbage, green
2 x onions, medium
1/2 cup bacon, diced
2 tbl butter
1 tbl brown sugar
4 cup beef stock
1 pch allspice
salt, pepper
1/2 cup cream

​

Method :

​

* Slice cabbage and onion.
* Melt butter in a pot, add onion and bacon, cook 3 minutes to lightly colour. Add cabbage, continue to cook 3-4 minutes until cabbage begins to wilt.
* Add stock and sugar, simmer gently 30 minutes until cabbage is tender.
* Stir in cream and season well.
