Baron of Barbecue
Ingredients :

3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp ground red pepper
1 tbl black pepper (1-2)
1/4 tsp mace
1 oz envelope chili seasoning
1 cup vinegar
2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 cup molasses
1 tsp ground ginger
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp allspice
32 oz ketchup

Method :

In saucepan, combine brown sugar, freshly ground black pepper, chili seasoning, dry mustard, ginger, allspice, red pepper and mace; mix well. Add vinegar, molasses and water, stirring until blended. Stir in ketchup. Bring to boil, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Use as finishing and table sauce for beef, pork and chicken or add to your favorite meat loaf recipe. May store sauce in refrigerator for several weeks. (May add 1-3 teaspoons liquid smoke.)
