Barbecue Chuck Roast
Ingredients :

4 lb chuck roast
1 sm onion
1 tbl oil
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup water
2 tsp chili powder
8 oz tomato sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tbl worcestershire sauce
3 tbl brown sugar
cooked noodles optional

Method :

* Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut fat out of roast. Brown in Dutch oven in oil. Remove roast from pan and set aside on platter. In same Dutch oven, combine and bring to boil: water, tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, chopped onion (use more, if desired), salt, chili powder, garlic powder (use more, if desired) and Worcestershire sauce. Return meat to pan. Bake in oven 2 1/2 hours. May be served with hot noodles.
